USEFUL DIGITAL TOOLS WORKSHOP - 4TH LTT
Our LTT meeting in Graz was very successful. The teachers from all five countries met in Graz from May 11th to 15th 2022.
In our Learning and Teaching Workshop in Graz we dealt with all kinds of digital tools that can help learning. In the three workshop days we dealt with three different aspects of digital learning:
1. We worked in the school's TV and radio studio and learned how to produce a TV or radio show.
2. We tried a digital treasure hunt through Graz using the app Actionbound.
3. We shared and played our games and looked at the tools that we used to create them.
In the following posts you will see evidence of all three steps.
Let's start with our exploration of the TV and radio studio.
Here you can see the productions that we have made. Each country's delegation had 2 representatives who were being interviewed by the Austrian students, and one or two teachers working the cameras and sound systems behind the scene. These small teams were coached by our professional TV and Radio instructors, who also regularly work with the children at the school in Graz.

Exploring Graz with a Magnifying Lense
The second digital tool that we used was the app Actionbound. During our LTT meeting in Graz our guests explored the city. We designed a guided treasure hunt through Graz using the app Actionbound. In this treasure hunt the workshop participants had to follow instructions and find many interesting places in our town. We did not only show them our famous sighths, but also guided them to spots only known by locals. We are proud to present our sustainable life-style by showing our guests how we use bicycles and cargobikes instead of cars, how we support local businesses and organic products.
Our Actionbound game is public and can be used by any visitors coming to Graz. All you need to do is download the app (Actionbound) and scan the following QR code.
Here are some of the pictures they took during the treasure hunt:
- In the third part of our meeting we worked with different games (digital games, hybrid games and card games).
Since we had already shared all kinds of digital tools and taught each other how to use them in many small online meetings in the last two years, it was now time to try them all out live at the school in Graz.
We organized a games workshop with the students of year 2 and 3 (about 50 kids) and the 16 teachers from Cyprus, Greece, Italy and Romania. Here our guests had the chance to learn lots of interesting things about Austria, Graz and our school.
We played the following games: For more information about these games, just follow the links.
Travelling across Europe: An interactive boardgame that includes audio and video information created by the students of Graz.
Happy Families of Graz: a cardgame that shows interesting places and customs in Graz.
How we live and work in Graz: an online game where we present our school and town.
A few facts about our town and city:
What we do in school An online crossword game to check what the players have learned.
Millionaire's Game: How much do you remember?
Here is a combined version of all these games:
